Obituary for Margaret "Bonnie" Yelvington

Bonnie Yelvington, 70, of Florahome, passed from this life on Saturday, December 24, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness. She was a born in Duluth, MN and was raised in Cocoa. She had lived in Florahome for the past 22 years coming from Ft. Pierce. Bonnie had worked as a baker for several Winn Dixie stores but her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She loved animals of all kind and enjoyed horseback riding. Margaret also enjoyed sewing and painting. She was of the Christian faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Johnson.
She is survived by best friend and husband of 36 years, Kenneth Yelvington of Florahome, children, Nathaniel Futch of Melbourne, Hope Pyle of Chiefland, Jeffery Yelvington (Raychel) of Williston and David Yelvington (Kelly) of Gainesville, sisters, Patricia Repine (William) of Clermont, and Alice and Annette Johnson both of Cocoa, as well as grandchildren, Elizabeth, Apawnee, Clayton, Jeremy, Orin and Liam.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 pm until time of services
