It is with great sadness that the family of Marian A. Vitale announce her passing following a brief illness. She passed on August 20 as she was surrounded by her family in Interlachen, Florida, where she lived. She was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1951 to Edward F. and Virginia Popecki. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, a son, Robert Vitale and her husband Vinny Vitale. She is survived by one son, Brian (Dana) Zweifler and 3 grandchildren (Theodore, Ellie and Shirley) of New York, her brother, Joseph (Kathy) Popecki, four nieces, Jeanie (Jimmy Paul) Popecki, Mary (Doug) Lyons (all of Interlachen), Janet Silverman of Daytona Beach Florida, Christina (Bill) Burris of Texas, one nephew, James Marciano also of Texas and several great nephews and nieces.
She was a retired newspaper carrier for the New York Daily Times. She enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family. She had a great sense of humor and made us laugh often. She was loved dearly and will be sorely missed.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 25, 2023 at PineView Cemetery in Interlachen. No visitation is scheduled.
