Mark Peter Taylor, 52, of Pomona Park, FL passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born in Leicester, England and had lived in Putnam County since October of 2021 coming from Myrtle Beach, SC. Mark had worked in the construction industry for many years and most recently worked for Diamond Motorcycle Seats in Crescent City. He was a spiritual person often grounding his feet in the sand and meditating. He had been attending Journey Church of Myrtle Beach, SC and had recently asked Jesus to save him. Mark was known for his eccentric ways and often stated how things were opposite of what they appeared. He was a member of the Flat Earth Society, in many online horticultural and farming groups, and loved exploring and trying new things. His last days were spent happily working on his dream of obtaining a self-sufficient life.
He is survived by his mother, Gay Taylor of Surfside Beach, SC, father, Peter Wren (Julia) of London, England, son, Mark Taylor, Jr. of Myrtle Beach, SC, brothers Paul and Heath Taylor of Surfside Beach, SC, fiancé, Mary K. White of Pomona Park, FL, stepchildren, Rhiannon White of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jackie White of Supply, NC, Brandon, Katelyn Dial of Murfreesboro, TN and Danielle Marie Bell of Downers Grove, IL, step grandchildren, Mary Crimson and Trenton White, Avery Dial, and nieces and nephews Ashley Marie Goodner and Liam Taylor.
Services celebrating Mark’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at the Alano Club, 906 67th Ave. N, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 with Pastor Tom Wallace of Journey Church, Myrtle Beach, SC officiating.
