Mary Elizabeth Livingston Jennings, 92, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, FL. Mary was born in Aiken, South Carolina to Clifford and Merline Leckie Livingston and graduated from North Augusta High School. She came to live in the Crescent City, Florida area in 1975 moving there from Jacksonville, Florida. While she lived in Jacksonville, she worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company as a Senior Supervisor. Following her retirement, she was a volunteer with the Satsuma Volunteer Fire Department. In her leisure time, she enjoyed fishing, shrimping and reading.
She was preceded by in death by her husband, Leroy Jennings, a son, Roger Jennings, brothers, Clifford, Earl and James Livingston and a granddaughter, Sheila Jennings.
Mary is survived by her brother and his wife, Henry and Ellen Livingston of North Augusta, South Carolina, grandson, Alan Jennings and his wife , Jennifer of Green Cove Springs, FL and their children, Sebastian and Alice Jennings.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Crescent City. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL with Pastor Patrick Martin officiating.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
