Obituary for Mendora Hunter Davis

Mendora Hunter Davis, 66, of Chiefland, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her home following an extended illness. Born in Statenville, Georgia to Leslie Willard Hunter and Lennie Juanita Pressler Hunter, she returned to Levy County in 2014 after having lived several places over the years. Mendora had worked as an escort driver for over-size loads for over 15 years and prior to that as an equipment installer in the poultry industry with Adams Poultry in Glennville, GA. She was currently a member of Orangedale Baptist Church and in years past had been a member of DeCoy Baptist Church. In her leisure time, Mendora enjoyed fishing and was known to have “kept the road hot going to see her sisters.”
In addition to her parents, Mendora was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Junior Davis of Chiefland, her children, Victoria Hartley (Michael) of Orange Park, Jason Feliciano and Victor Feliciano both of Chiefland and Mary Hannes (fiancé Jeremy Reeves) of Enterprise, AL, step-son, Junior Patterson (Shawna) of Chiefland, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, 8 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor David Wilkinson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until the time of services at 7:00 P.M.
