Merle Louise Derosia, 93, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at her home following an extended illness. She was a native of Hinsdale, NH and had lived in Putnam County for the past 35 years. Merle was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Interlachen where she sang in the choir. She was also a member of Sew Sew Quilters and the Lion’s Club of Interlachen. Merle had worked as a secretary in the banking industry and in her leisure time enjoyed crafts, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard Derosia.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smith (Dennis), grandchildren, Richard Smith (Rebecca), Steven Smith (Jessica) and Denise Graves (Duane), 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at First United Methodist Church in Interlachen with Pastor David Miller officiating.
