Obituary for Michael Leslie Lisle

Michael Leslie “Mike” Lisle, 75, of Palatka, passed from this life on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness. He was born in Eustis and moved to Palatka at a young age. Mike was a 1965 graduate of Palatka High School. After graduating high school, he served 4 years in the U. S. Air Force and later retired from the Army National Guard after 16 years of service. Mike had worked for several local business including Hudson Pulp & Paper (Woodlands Div.), Peninsular Life Insurance, Millers Supermarket of Palatka (Frozen Food Manager), Wal-Mart (electronics dept) as well as 20 years with the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office (Corrections Officer, road deputy and bailiff). Mike had also been a volunteer at the Bread of Life in Palatka. He was an avid FSU fan and enjoyed woodworking and going to the mountains. Mike especially loved time spent with family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ann Lisle, parents, Thomas Lisle and Elizabeth Ruggles Lisle, daughter-in-law, Stacey Lisle, and grandson, William Price.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Price (Bill), Michael Lisle (Jenny) and Kevin Lisle, siblings, Denise Owen (Dale), Pat Lisle (Mary), April Curtis (Kenny), and Doug Lisle (Renee), grandchildren, Shawn McNeely, Christina Colins (Jeff), Megan Price (Joe), Rachel Bass (Dylan), Noah Lisle, Kayden Lisle, Kristen Williams (Kara), Kayla Booth, Karlie Booth and Kortnee Booth, as well as great-grandchildren, Emilia, Braxton, Raylan, Victoria, Amora, Sampson, Jayden, Callie, Everlee, Zoee, and Karson.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 24, 2022, at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Ron Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 10:00 am until time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Ave., Palatka, FL 32177.
