Mildred L. “Millie” Sellers, 98, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona following an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Palatka, she was a homemaker. Millie was a dedicated member of St. Monica Catholic Church where she was involved in the Alter Guild and the St. Elizabeth Seton Circle. She had also served as a volunteer with Senior Friends at Putnam Community Medical Center.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Sellers, her parents, Louis Labruzzo and Margaret C. Bowman Labruzzo, 2 sisters, Rosalie Tidwell and Cecilia Lewis and a nephew, Robert Thornton.
She is survived by a cousin, Michael Christensen of Deltona.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2022 at St. Monica Catholic Church with Father Ron Camarda officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-6 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be sent to the building fund at St. Monica Catholic Church, 114 S. 4th St., Palatka, FL 32177.
