Obituary for Noble Willard Partch

Noble Willard Partch, 82, of Hawthorne, passed from this life on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at his home following a brief illness. He was surrounded by family and the caring angels of Community Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born in Burlington, Vermont and had lived in Hawthorne for the past 21 years coming from West Virginia. Noble was raised on a dairy farm in New England and began driving a tractor at the age of 6. His love of driving and automobiles first took him to the United States Army Reserve, he was stationed in Ft. Dix, New Jersey, serving in auto maintenance. Noble then worked as a truck driver for more than 40 years.
He also served as a United States Merchant Marine and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and Amateur Radio Operators and many of their affiliates. He loved all animals and always had a positive outlook. In the words of Noble, “Keep Smiling.”
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Partch, and parents, Leo and Eleanor Partch.
He is survived by the love of his life, and best friend of 21 years, Tina Fugate McCann, devoted dog Roscoe, daughters, Lisa and Shari Tucker, Tiffany McCann, Rontina DeGraffenreid (David), sister, Susan Lestage (Bill) of Naples, brother, Sid Partch of Venice and was affectionately known as “Poppy” to grandchildren, Braeden McCann, and Alex, Aurora and David Wilde DeGraffenreid.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held at the home of dear friend, Roy Wiley.
