Obituary for Pamela Dawn Baker

Pamela “Pam” Dawn Baker was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She had a big heart, maybe a little too big for this world. She left us suddenly on Memorial Day, May 31, 2021, at the age of 67.
Pam was born on November 17, 1953 and was raised in North Carolina. She enjoyed watching scary movies and reading Dean Koontz fiction. She adored her dogs, Dora and Peanut, and she loved camping near the water. She had bright red hair that she relentlessly hid with hats and dyes. She had too many freckles to count and, although she hated them, each and every one of them was perfect. She never forgot a birthday and she cried when she read sentimental greeting cards. She was loved and will be missed more than she could’ve imagined.
Pam is survived by her husband of 50 years, Tim, daughter, Kimber, two brothers, Jesse and Bill, three grandchildren, Phil, Lily, and Jack, and one great grandchild, Mila. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Julia, and her infant son, Jason.
Pam will be quietly laid to rest in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bloomington, Indiana, close to her daughter and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the S.A.F.E. Pet Rescue, P O Box 188, Hollister, FL 32147.
Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at Pam’s Book of Memories page at www.johnsonoverturffunerals.com.
Arrangements are entrusted to Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen.
