Patricia Maureen Tibbs, 85, of Six Mile, SC and formerly of Palatka, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Prisma Health Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC following an extended illness. She was a native of Oxford, England and had lived in Putnam County for over 40 years before moving to South Carolina to be with her son. While living in Putnam County, Patricia had worked in the cafeteria at Kelly Smith School and retired after 21 years of service. She was a member of Six Mile Baptist Church in South Carolina and had previously attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Palatka.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin J. Tibbs, Sr., 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her children, Yvonne Tibbs, Patricia House (Tony), Michelle Mikell (John), Edwin J. Tibbs, Jr. (Melissa), Matthew Tibbs (Tammy), Andrew Tibbs, and Stephen Tibbs (Marilyn), 3 sisters, Ivy Stone, Jean Stanley, and Shirley Brown, 24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka, with Pastors Allen Baggett and Henry Willis officiating.
