Obituary for Patricia Ann "Patty" Machek

Patricia Ann “Patty” Machek, 89, of Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Advent Health Hospice Care in Palm Coast. A native of Daytona Beach, she graduated in 1951 from Daytona Mainland High School. Patty worked in women’s retail at Sussmans, Catherines and Land and Sea. She was an amazing artist and also loved painting, drawing, swimming and family reunions. Patty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved beyond measure with a heart of gold. She had a way of touching every person she met with her love and kindness. She was truly one of a kind.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold J. Lewis and Sarah I. Lewis, her husband, James E. Machek, a sister, Betty Jean Garrett, 2 daughters, Angela M. Stone and Teresa A. Stout, a son, James E. Machek, Jr. and a granddaughter, Monique R. Langford.
Patty is survived by a daughter, Sarina L. Machek, granddaughters, Julie Kohlbrenner (T.J.), Tiffany Stout (Mark), Mandy Jacoby (Matt), Tarra Meadows (James), Sara Stone, Brooke Pica (Tyler), grandsons, Charles Stout (Dawn), James E. Machek, III (Elizabeth) and James D. Kennemer, III (Tabitha), great-grandchildren, Jennie, Jimmy, Mahayla, Ashton, Michael, Melody, Belle, Willie, Hannah, Cameron, Bryson, Farrah, Emelia, Jackson, Paisley, Noah, Averie, Kane (her little man) and Brylee (her curly-headed monkey) , great-great-grandchildren, Cason, Calliope, Laily, Camilli, Jennifer and Hadley and many loved and cherished nieces, nephews, as well as life-long cherished friends.
Memorial services celebrating Patty’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Pastor Terry Wright officiating.
