Patricia Gayle “Pat” Rogero Joyce, 72, Palatka, passed from this life unexpectedly on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at her home from natural causes. She was born in Ellijay, Georgia and had lived between the Ellijay area and Putnam County over the years. Pat had worked as a dental assistant for several area dentists including Robert J Thropp, Dr. J.W. Todd, Dr. Terry Brauneck and Dr Diaz. She had also owned and operated several retail businesses including the Paddlewheel Boutique, Pat’s Pants and Top Shop and Carolina Factory Outlet. At one time, she was also co-owner of James M Rogero Construction company. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Pat will be remembered as being an amazing “Bamaw” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also a loving and dedicated caregiver to her mother whom she lost just recently.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Theda Joyce Hall, her father Clifford Simmons and her brother David Hall.
Pat is survived by 2 daughters, Wendy Glover (Ricky) of Hollister and DeAnn Boyles (Stephen) of St. Augustine, a brother, Donlee Michael Hall of Palatka and a sister, Martha Warman of Savannah, GA, 4 grandchildren, Tristin Glover, Bryson Glover, Lloyd Boyles (Anna) and Sean Boyles as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Noah Boyles and Fischer Boyles.
Memorial services celebrating Pat’s life will be at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Father Steven Zehler officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services at 6:00.
