Obituary for Paul Julius Poe

Paul Julius Poe, 82, of Satsuma, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a native of Perry, FL and had lived in Satsuma since 1990 coming from Grand Rapids, MI. Paul served in the U S Marine Corp during the Korean War. He worked as a machine operator for General Motors for 31 years and was a member of the Moose. In his leisure time, Paul enjoyed bowling, boating and water skiing.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela “Pammy” Parm, siblings, John Poe, Robert Daniel Poe, Jimmy Poe, Marvin Poe and Billy Joe Poe.
He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Linda Louden, children, Paula Wilson, Peggy DeLaurelle (Roger), and Raymond Poe, step-chidren, Kimberly McClure (Dean) and Scott Mack (Jo), step-sister, Renee Benton, grandchildren, Mike Balutrashitis, Tommy Parm, Alexis Parm, Holli Mueller (Nick), and Thairon Berger and great-grandson, Benson Parm.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until time of services. Military honors will be presented by the U S Marine Corp.
