Obituary for Phyllis D. Lambert

Phyllis D. Lambert, 86, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in Churubusco, IN and had lived in Putnam County since 1974, coming from Jacksonville. Throughout her career Phyllis had several opportunities including working at the Pentagon, driving a school bus, selling Kirby vacuum cleaners as well as being a secretary for Putnam Federation of Teacher’s United. She was a member of Orange Springs Community Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles and was President of Navy Wives Club. In her leisure time, Phyllis enjoyed bowling, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lee Lambert, daughter, Teresa Lambert Laney, parents, Floyd Diffendarfer and Ruth Diffendarfer Barker, brother, Rex Diffendarfer, sister, Betty Zeedyk, and niece, Rita Zeedyk Harpel.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Lambert (JoAnn) of Palatka and Tim Lambert (Sharon) of Kingsport, TN, daughter, Lori Fowler (Chuck) of Interlachen, 9 grandchildren, Sara Jones (Darrell), Amie Keeney (Chad), Mat Lambert (Lindsay), Cody Lambert (Charity), Lee Lambert (Morgan), Zach Lambert, Ryan Lambert, Brandon Fowler (Allison) and Stephanie Akins (Mike) as well as 20 great-grandchildren.
Private family services were held.
