Obituary for Rene Vega
Rene Vega, 81, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Monday, August 21, 2023 at his home following an extended illness. Born in LasPierdas, Purerto Rico, he resided in Interlachen since 1991 coming from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rene had worked as a security guard at a Naval Base. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Rene had also been a volunteer grandparent at C. H. Price Middle School in Interlachen.
Rene is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Hilda Vega, 2 sons, Lionel Vega (Milagros) of Richboro PA and Kelvin Vega (Marisa) of Interlachen, 2 daughters, Idalia Vega (Angel Manuel Rodriguez) of Hawthorne and Yaisanet Vega (Conan Segrest) of Ocala, 7 grandchildren, Briana Vega, Alex Vega, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Priscilla Rodriguez, Nathaniel Vega, Elijah Vega and Veronica Vega and 1 great-grandchild, Aubriella Rodriguez.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 28, 2023 at PineView Cemetery in Interlachen with Pastor Mike McColley officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
