Robert Franklin “Bob” Williams, 78, of Palatka, passed from this life on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. A native of Charleston, West Virginia, he resided in Palatka since 1978 coming from Hampton, Virginia. Bob had worked numerous places over the years including at Florida Furniture Industries, Sheffield Steel as tool room manager, Roberts Dairy, as a Security Guard at several places, as a deliveryman with the City Drug Store and at CP Deli. Bob had a passion for bass fishing and had served as the director for the Bass Capital Junior Anglers. He was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Palatka.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Barbara E. Williams, his parents, Jess and Rachael V. Williams, and 4 brothers, James Keller, Jess Williams, Jr., David Williams and Leroy Williams.
Bob is survived by his children, Sally Walker, Jeff Williams (Ruth), David Darby and Greg Williams (Lori), 6 grandchildren, Josh Williams (Lois), Justin Williams (Scarlett), Mandi Moore (Dalton), Kassie Eleweanya (Nathan), Megan Williams and Zachariah Darby and 7 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Trinity Baptist Church building fund, 5021 Silver Lake Drive, Palatka, FL 32177.
