Obituary for Robert C. Roberts

Robert C. “Bob” Roberts, 89, of Orlando and formerly of Putnam County, passed from this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospice in Orlando. Born in Herkimer, New York, he served honorably in the U.S. Army for 3 years during the Korean War. Bob resided in Interlachen from 1993 to 2004 and then later in Palatka before moving to Boca Raton and eventually to Orlando. He taught Electronics in the Dade County School System for 25 years. Bob was a member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter #267 in Gainesville, the Oriental-Faxton Masonic Lodge #0224 in Utica, NY and when he resided in Interlachen, he attended the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Gail Roberts who died in 2005 and a sister, Lucille Venegas.
Bob is survived by a daughter, Robyn Roberts of West Winfield, NY , a son, John Roberts (Diane) of Boca Raton, 7 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Due to Covid 19 restrictions and guidelines, private graveside services will be held at PineView Cemetery in Interlachen.
