Sachiko Crowe, 90, of Abilene, TX and formerly of Hollister, FL, passed from this life on Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home unexpectedly from natural causes. Born February 21, 1932 in Okinawa, Japan, she moved from Cherry Point, NC to Hollister in 1972 and resided there until moving to Abilene in 2021. Sachiko worked at Burger King in Palatka for 10 years and also at Grove’s Egg Farm in Interlachen. She had been active at the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) in Interlachen. Among her interests were gardening and sewing and spending quality time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ryoei Kuba and Tsuru Kuba, her husband, John Philip Crowe, Sr., a grandson, Cory Scott Richardson and a great-grandson, Jaxson Allen Richardson.
Sachiko is survived by her children, Kay Crowe Blocker (Charles), Michelle Brackenbury (Mike), John Philip “Jay” Crowe, Jr., Georgia Alice Cox (Stephen Craig Cox), Jerry Allen Crowe (Becky), Nancy Shizuko Richardson (Mark Allen Richardson) and Donna Sachiko Rudy (Jeff), 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 10 siblings.
A family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
