Shirley Jeanne Coleman, 84, of Salt Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness. She was a native of Gary, IN and had lived in Salt Springs for the past 50 years. In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed playing cards and dancing. She likewise loved playing BINGO at the VFW and was an Elvis fan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Ellis Coleman, parents, Vernon and Dorris Hoover, and brother, Butch Hoover.
She is survived by her son, Robert Josleyn (Tina Campbell), daughters, Tammy Lynn Collins (Derrick), Lajuana Carroll, and Joyce Davis (Edward), brother, Jerry Hoover (LaVerne), grandchildren, Hailey Collins, Devin Collins, Kimberly Coles, Kayla Wendling, Melissa Land, Donna Smock, Chance Stewart and Diana Josleyn, as well as great-grandchildren, Brooke Land and Axel Wendling.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Salt Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dave Houck officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
