Obituary for Stephanie Lin Ward
Stephanie Lin Ward, age 52, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 in Scottsdale,
Arizona. Born on July 21st, Stephanie was a native of Palatka and had lived in Scottsdale for the past 15 years. She was a 1985 graduate of Palatka High School. She received a Masters'
Degree in Marketing from the University of North Florida. Stephanie had a passion for travel and adventure, which led her to a career as a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines.
She shared traveling to new places with family and friends. She enjoyed watching tennis in her spare time and attended the U.S. Open several times. Stephanie had an active life, which included running, cycling and gardening.
She is survived by her mother, Cassandra "Sandi" Oliver Ward Byrd of Palatka,
sisters, Tish Leary (Greg) and Sherri Kummer (Duane) of Palatka, nieces and nephew:
Brandi Kummer, Robert Kummer (Angie), Tabitha Priester (Wade), Amanda Leary,
Andrea Leary (Matt), Francina Kummer, seven great nieces and nephews. Also,
Stephanie's best friend, Alice Keith (Brian).
Due to concerns with the Covid-19 virus, private services were held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palatka.
Everyone who knew Steph loved her, and she is greatly missed.
