Obituary for Steven "Dalton" Franklin

Steven Dalton Franklin, 28, of Palatka, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born in Gainesville and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He attended Palatka High School as well as Interlachen High School where he was on the cross-country track team. Dalton had worked in the metal fabrication industry and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting, fishing, artifact hunting, cooking and hanging out with friends and family. He also enjoyed ATV riding, getting lost in the woods and blazing his own trails. Dalton was a hard worker and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He had a big heart and had a lot of love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his father, Steven D. Franklin, mother, Linda Cannon and other father, Tim Cannon, sister, Danielle Franklin, stepsister, Shelby Jarrell, uncles, William Franklin (Carol), Mark Franklin (Kathy) and John Hanson (Susan), cousins, David, Adam, Luke, Samantha and Brandi.
Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Larry Litzell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday between 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
