Obituary for Suzette Tilton Burney

Suzette Tilton Burney, 72, of San Mateo, passed away on April 14, 2021 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Putnam County. Suzette was a member of the Palatka ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. In her leisure time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Miller Tilton and Sarah Pauline Tillis Tilton and brother, Henry Tilton.
She is survived by her husband, Roy Albert Burney, Jr. of San Mateo, children, Jenny Nettles (Jason) of St. Charles, MO, Robert Burney (Alicia) of Okeechobee and Albert Burney (Kara) of San Mateo, brother, Claude Tilton (Jackie), sister, Annette Condos, grandchildren, Zachary Nettles (Ashleigh), Ryan Nettles (Ashley), Griffin Nettles, Finn Burney, Selena Harvey, and Tiffany Barfield, as well as great-grandchildren, Zoey Nettles, Hailey Harden, Bailey Harden, Austin Spano and Lainey Harvey.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at San Mateo Cemetery with Bishop Jay Tilton conducting. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka.
