Obituary for Sylvia Anne Champion

Sylvia Anne Champion, 74, of Palatka, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was a native of Harriman, TN and had lived in Putnam County for the past 50 years coming from Brunswick, GA. Her father, Ray Scott, was a Master Mason and 33° Scottish Rite. Her mother, Audrie Scott, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Sylvia was of the Baptist faith and was very family oriented. Her greatest joy was raising and spending time with her family. Sylvia also enjoyed camping, shrimping and spending time outdoors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Audrie Scott, sister, Sue and her grandson, Shelby Scott Herbert.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harvey Champion, son, Corey Scott Freeman (Angel), daughter, Kimberly Ann Bolen all of Palatka, brother, John Scott (Margie) of Lake Charles, LA, grandchildren, Lee Herbert, Shawn Herbert (fiancé Heather Lynn Bass), Makayla Goodman (Zachariah), Lance Harvey Freeman, Mason Alexander Freeman, great-grandchildren, Aden Herbert, Athena Herbert, Onyx Herbert, Opal Herbert and Cameron Bolen as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
