Terrie Lynn Montonye, 57, of Interlachen, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following a brief illness. She was a native of Jacksonville, FL and moved to Putnam County at the age of 10. Terrie was a 1982 graduate of Interlachen High School. She was of the Baptist faith and loved being a stay-at-home mom. In her leisure time, Terrie enjoyed gardening, home crafts and all “DIY” projects.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard Smith and Joyce Hutcheson Smith and brother-in-law, Lamar Franklin.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joseph Allen Montonye of Interlachen, children, Kristy Munroe (Greg) of Ola, Arkansas, Crystal Montonye of Gainesville, FL, Christopher Montonye of Interlachen and Joseph Montonye, Jr. (Abby) of Port Salerno, FL, siblings, Michael Smith (Malinda) of Hollister, Sherrie Strange (Leonard) of Palatka, Angela Franklin of Green Cove Springs, and Samuel Smith of Interlachen, 7 grandchildren, Colby Munroe, Kaitlyn Munroe, Kourtney Munroe, Connor Munroe, Kelsey Munroe, Colton Montonye and Shelby Montonye.
Graveside services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Pineview Cemetery in Interlachen with Bro. Ricky Bybee officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
