Terry Lee “Fat Back” McDaniel, 62, of Bostwick, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at North Florida Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Putnam County. Terry was the owner and operator of Terry’s Barber Shop in Palatka and was a member of Bostwick Baptist Church. He was passionate about the Florida Gators and Miami Dolphins. Terry had met and became friends with his childhood idle, Miami Dolphins running back, Larry Csonka. He was very devoted to his family and in his leisure time enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Alicia McDaniel, sons, Justin McDaniel and Garrett McDaniel, brothers, Keith McDaniel (Laura), Gene McDaniel, Garry McDaniel (Terry Ann) and Sandy McDaniel (Debbie).
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Leon Edenfield officiating. Burial will follow in Bostwick Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 pm until time of services.
