Thomas L. Johnson 78, of Bostwick, FL passed away peacefully at his home on November 20, 2023 following an extended illness. Mr. Johnson retired from Southeastern Aluminum Products in Jacksonville in 2014 where he was a Plant Supervisor. He also worked at Jacksonville Shipyards for 32 years where he was a Supervisor in the Pipe Shop. He was a hard working man, loved his family and always took care of us. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and most of all, he was an avid deer hunter. He was a long time member of the West Hilliard Hunting Club and later the South Hilliard Hunting club. He also was a member of the Morocco Shrine and a Mason with the Callahan Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Judy M. Johnson, his two sons Thomas D. Johnson (Michael) of Roxboro, NC and Steven L. Johnson of Bostwick, two grandchildren, Eric A. Johnson (Hannah) of Jacksonville, and Kaley M. Fine (Mitchell) of Pomona Park. He also leaves behind five beautiful great granddaughters, Ryleigh, Gabby, Bella, Ava and Graci, and one handsome little man, Andrew. He is also survived by his Step Mother Virginia Inez Johnson of Jacksonville, and one brother, Gary N. Johnson of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and many friends and nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Tommy.
A small memorial is planned for Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Bostwick Community Center, 125 Tillman Street, Bostwick from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Dress is casual, as he was all about being comfortable, and lunch will be served.
