Tina Marie Waters, 57, of Palatka, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following an extended illness. She was a native of Palatka, growing up in Francis. Tina graduated as a licensed practical nurse in 1992 from St. Augustine Vocational and Technical School. She began working at Putnam Community Medical Center on the surgical floor in 1994 then later transitioned to the hospitals’ first Skilled Nursing Unit in 1995. Tina was a nurse until she became disabled in 2003. She loved reading, watching wildlife, Poem writing and scrap booking. Tina loved her mother, her children and grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Thomas Waters and Marshall Emory Waters and 3 children, Brandon Marshall Blanks, Landon Wayne Barstow and Blaine Michael Barstow.
Tina is survived by 2 children, Blade Thomas Waters and Christine Nichole Ryan, 2 great-grandchildren, Gracie Marie Ryan and Liam Carter Ryan and nieces, Candice Marie Wycoff and Brandie Leigh Lashley.
A special thank you to her best friend and sister-at-heart, Kathy Fisk who was always helping and coming to her rescue.
Services celebrating Tina’s life will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. Buddy Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill East Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until the services at 3:00 P.M.
