Obituary for Toy Grady Jackson Jr.

Toy Grady Jackson, Jr., 86, of Palatka, passed from this life on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at UF Health Shands in Gainesville following an extended illness. He was born in Farmington, GA and had lived most of his life in Putnam County. He was a veteran of the US Army and had worked at Hudson Pulp & Paper and was also a carpenter. Toy enjoyed teaching Sunday school and had attended Palatka Baptist Temple and Faith Baptist Church in Palatka.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Toy G. Jackson, Sr. and Ruby Lee Methvin Jackson, and a granddaughter, Ashley Ann Mills.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carolyn Jackson, children, Toya Lynn Woodard (Neavil) of Whittier, NC, Toy G. Jackson, III (Tina) of Hollister and Lorne Lee Jackson of Hollister, step-children, Vicky Carlton (Tony) of Deland, Brenda Adams (Anthony) of DeLeon Springs, and Donald Allen Day, Jr. (Michele) of Hawthorne, sister, Pauline Griffin (Pat) of Palatka, 7 grandchildren as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka with Pastor Larry Litzell officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
Due to COVID19, those in attendance are asked to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
