Virginia Imogene Miller, 91, of East Palatka, passed from this life on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Green County, Indiana, she moved to Palatka 2 years ago from Deland where she had resided for 30 years. Virginia was a homemaker and a Baptist. In her leisure time, she enjoyed thrift store shopping, puzzle books, playing cards and fishing (if she didn’t have to touch the fish)! But most important in life to Virginia was her family whom she dearly loved and supported.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Donald L. Miller, a son, Donald R. “Sparky” Miller, her parents, Herbert and Doris Yeryar and several siblings.
Virginia is survived by 2 grandchildren, Terri Williams (Keith) of East Palatka and Jeffrey Miller (April) of Ft. McCoy, 4 great-grandchildren, Stephanie Russell (Jason), Nicholas Williams, Brayden Ray Miller and Zachary Thomas Miller, a daughter-in-law, Susan Hovorka of East Palatka and a brother, Kenneth Yeryar of Princeton, IN.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palatka with Preacher Mike Gulledge officiating.
