Obituary for Wade F. Carter

Wade F. Carter, 75, of Satsuma, passed away on December 16, 2022, at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness. Wade lived in San Mateo area for most all his life.
After high school, Wade served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years during the Vietnam conflict. After returning home, he ran a wholesale flower route through the Southern states for several years. He then drove over the road before retiring to the Dunns Creek area. Wade, together with his wife, enjoyed raising their grandkids and great grandkids. They also attended St Monica Catholic Church in Palatka. He served on the Riverside Volunteer Fire Department in his younger days.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Wade H. and Mary E. “Bess” Carter, Joan Carter his wife of 37 years , and her son and daughter Greg Thompson and Teresa Danlovich.

Wade is survived by a brother James and (Cheryl) Carter of San Mateo, a sister Patricia and (David) Reed. of Francis, his wife's children Brenda Edson and (Steve) of Palm Coast, Buddy Thompson and (Diane) of Melrose, Bill Thompson of Palatka, and Neil Thompson of Satsuma as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great- great- grandchildren.

Memorial mass will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Monica Catholic Church in Palatka with Father Ron Camarda as officiant. Interment will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens.
