William Thomas Hill, 88, of Welaka, passed from this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at his home following an extended illness. He was born in Savannah, GA and had lived in Putnam County for the past 30 years coming from Louisiana. Bill served in the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for Union Camp as a supervisor in the shipping department for more than 30 years. In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed boating.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Ann Hill.
He is survived by his children, Vernon Hill (Barbara), David Hill (Patricia) both of Morristown, TN and Janice Rouse of Satsuma, 3 grandchildren, Spencer Rouse (Felicia), Brent Rouse, and Brian Hill, as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Aiden Rouse, Braxton Foster, Abby Rouse and Haden Hill.
A private burial will be held at Palatka Memorial Gardens.
No public visitation is scheduled.
